Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The article represents the opinions of the author, and the editorial team does not necessarily have to agree with them. The author is willing to have the article peer-reviewed by qualified individuals chosen by the editorial team for academic accuracy. Readers are encouraged to consider and evaluate the article accordingly.
  • Settings The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The author agrees to revise the article according to the recommendations of the peer reviewers.
  • In the event of any copyright infringement, regardless of the method or any legal action that may arise, the editorial board of the Journal of Buddhist Community shall not be involved in any way. The author of the article shall have the sole right to take action.

Author Guidelines

Instructions for Writing an Academic Paper

Manuscript Size

  • Type on one side of A4 paper with margins of 3.81 cm at the top and 2.54 cm at the right and bottom.

Font and Layout

  • Use TH Sarabun PSK font and Microsoft Word to print. The font size, type, and positioning should be as follows:

2.1 Paper Size:

  • Print the article on A4 paper with page numbers in 16 point regular font, aligned to the right and left margins of the paper in a standard book format.

2.2 Title (Thai):

  • 18 point bold font, centered on the page.

2.3 Title (English):

  • All caps, 14 point bold font, lowercase, 16 point bold font, centered on the page.

2.4 Author's Name:

  • 16 point regular font, aligned to the right margin of the paper, below the title. Include both Thai and English names and email addresses.

2.5 Author's Affiliation:

  • 16 point bold font, aligned to the right margin of the paper, below the author's name. Include both Thai and English names of the affiliation.

2.6 Thai and English Abstract Headings:

  • Aligned to the left margin of the paper, below the author's affiliation. The Thai and English abstract headings should be in 16 point bold font, all caps.

2.7 Thai and English Abstract Content:

  • 16 point regular font, no more than 3 paragraphs. Indent the first line 1 tab from the left margin and type to both margins.

2.8 Thai Keywords Heading:

  • 16 point bold font, aligned to the left margin of the page, below the Thai abstract. This should not exceed 3 words in 16 point regular font.

2.9 English Keywords Heading:

  • 16 point bold font, aligned to the left margin of the page, below the English abstract. This should not exceed 3 words in 16 point regular font.

2.10 Section Heading:

  • 16 point bold font, aligned to the left margin of the paper, with a section number.

2.11 Subsection Heading:

  • 16 point bold font, with a subsection number, following the main section number.

2.12 Content:

  • 16 point regular font, typed to both margins. Research articles and academic articles should have the following components: introduction, main content, analysis and conclusion, and references. Book reviews should include bibliographic information, the name of the reviewer, and the review. Other creative works should have the same components as research and academic articles.

Number of Manuscript Pages

  • The content of the article, from the title to the references, should not exceed 15 pages on A4 paper.
